# About Keep Status On

Keep Status On is an independent browser extension that helps keep your status online in Slack and Microsoft Teams, with separate controls for each selected tab.

## What it is for

It is for people who use Slack or Microsoft Teams in a browser and want manual, timed, duration or weekly controls across multiple tabs. It is not a native desktop mouse mover and does not control the desktop versions of those services.

## What it cannot promise

Slack and Microsoft Teams determine their own online-presence indicators. Network interruptions, browser background restrictions, expired sign-ins and organization policies can affect results. Keep your browser and selected tabs open. Use the extension in accordance with your organization's policies, not as proof of work or attendance.

## Browsers and availability

Chrome and Brave use the Chrome Web Store package. Microsoft Edge and Firefox have dedicated listings. Opera is submitted for moderation. Safari is in App Store review preparation and is not yet publicly released.

## Privacy and access

A Keep Status On account is required. Access depends on your account's allowance or subscription. Local service-login indicators do not read conversations, passwords or service authentication tokens, and do not verify online presence. The service stores account, installation, billing and usage information as described in the privacy policy.
