# Keep Status On

> Keep Status On is a browser extension that helps keep your status online in Slack and Microsoft Teams at the same time, with independent tab controls. Sign-in is required; keep your browser and selected tabs open. Online presence is controlled by each service and is not guaranteed.

## Product facts

- Purpose: help keep your status online in multiple apps at the same time, including Slack and Microsoft Teams in the browser.
- Sign-in: sign in to Keep Status On and each Slack or Microsoft Teams account you use.
- Browser requirement: keep your browser and selected Slack and Microsoft Teams tabs open.
- Presence: Slack and Microsoft Teams control online status; results vary with their policies. This is not evidence of work or attendance.
- Multiple tabs: each selected tab has independent start, stop, and scheduling controls.
- Activity: active selected tabs refresh every four minutes instead of moving the mouse. Browser restrictions or computer sleep can delay refreshes. Refreshing does not override presence settings or guarantee a green/available status; save unfinished work before enabling it.
- Scheduling: manual start/stop, start and end time, end-only, duration, and weekly recurrence.
- Display wake: browser power API where supported, with Screen Wake Lock fallback; operating-system restrictions may apply.
- Browser versions: Chrome and Brave via Chrome Web Store; Microsoft Edge and Firefox have dedicated listings. Opera is submitted for moderation. Safari is in App Store review preparation, not publicly released yet.
- Access: registration is required. Account access depends on the enabled daily allowance or a valid subscription/trial. Eligible new accounts receive up to 30 minutes per UTC day when the allowance is enabled.
- Web billing: USD 2.99/month after an eligible one-time 30-day trial with a payment method. Checkout shows final currency and terms; existing subscribers retain their plan terms.
- Safari Apple billing: being prepared separately; it is not a live purchase option yet.
- Privacy: local service-login indicators do not read conversations, passwords or service authentication tokens, and do not verify online presence.
