Data Deletion

You may permanently delete your Keep Status On account and personal information at any time.

Apple subscriptions are managed by Apple and are not canceled by deleting this account. Cancel your Safari subscription in Apple subscription settings before deleting Keep Status On to stop future renewal charges.

Delete your account immediately

  1. Sign in and open Account settings.
  2. Open Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your current Keep Status On password or linked sign-in provider.
  4. Type DELETE and select Permanently delete account.

Any active Stripe subscription is canceled immediately before deletion. If Stripe cannot confirm cancellation, the account is not deleted and an error is shown so billing cannot continue without an accessible account.

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@keepstatuson.com from the address associated with the account for assisted deletion.

What we delete

After verification, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your user profile, authentication provider links, application sessions, registered installations, OAuth state records, and daily usage records. We also cancel active Stripe subscriptions. Removing the extension from your browser deletes extension-managed local data.

What may be retained

Stripe and Apple may retain transaction records required by financial law. Apple transaction identifiers are retained as unlinked tombstones to prevent purchase reassignment; the user association and Apple account token are removed. To enforce the one-trial-per-user rule, we retain only irreversible keyed hashes of the deleted account's login identifiers and whether a trial was previously used. These hashes cannot be used to sign in or reconstruct the original identifiers. We may also retain minimal records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, legal claims, or compliance. Retained information is isolated from normal product use and deleted when the obligation ends, except where an ongoing fraud-prevention need applies.

Timing and confirmation

Self-service deletion is processed immediately. We acknowledge assisted requests as soon as reasonably possible and aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to applicable law. You may also revoke Keep Status On from your Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook account settings; revocation stops future social-login access but does not by itself delete data already stored by Keep Status On.
